Groundbreaking Ceremony participants will include Gary Hidalgo, Executive Director of The Arc of Greater Beaumont, Mitch Watkins, President of The Arc of Greater Beaumont Board of Directors, Mike Fry, Marketing Director at Mueller Inc., Dohn LaBiche, Architect at The LaBiche Architectural Group, Inc., and self advocates of The Arc of Greater Beaumont.
The entire community is invited to attend and show support for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Gary Hidalgo, Executive Director of The Arc of Greater Beaumont, said, “The Arc of Greater Beaumont promotes inclusion of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities in all aspects of our community. We currently serve more than 400 individuals and families in the Southeast Texas region. Soon we will be able to expand our services, especially services presently unavailable, to serve more individuals in our region.”
The groundbreaking ceremony was made possible partly by the generosity of the Conn Family who saw the vision and donated the property for The Arc of Greater Beaumont to build a home of its own on. The Arc of Greater Beaumont recently became the recipient of the 2015 Mueller Helping Hand project. The first week in October, a team from Mueller Inc. will build a 4,000 square foot metal building. “We hope to have the building fully operational by spring of 2016” said Hidalgo. Texas Country Reporter will feature the project this fall, 2015.
