The Young Adult Social Group is for adults ages 18 to 30 with high functioning autism spectrum disorder. A group for young adults to talk openly, meet new friends, laugh, and have fun. Don't miss this one! We will be making plans for our summer activities!
Step up for Autism, scheduled for Sunday, August 1st, welcomes participants of all ages and abilities. The goals of the event is to promote acceptance and inclusion of people with autism. The event will kick off with our “Awareness Walk” around Downtown Beaumont. After the walk, participants will have the opportunity visit the “Autism Awareness Experience” located inside the Beaumont Civic Center. Participants will be able to travel through various simulations that mimic some of the sensory overloads that affect many individuals with autism. The Experience will also have a variety of informational booths and vendors. This meeting is for people interested in becoming a team captain for this event.
