Help us. Raise your voice and help us tell others how important it is that people with disabilities have the support they need to succeed in their communities. For generations, people with Down syndrome and other disabilities were separated from their families and communities and placed in institutions. We cannot go backward.NDSC is deeply concerned by the final order in Texas v. Kennedy, which weakens important federal protections that help ensure people with disabilities can receive the services and supports they need in their homes and communities.Section 504, the ADA, and the Supreme Court’s Olmstead decision remain the law. NDSC will continue fighting to protect community living, strengthen HCBS, and ensure people with Down syndrome can live, work, and thrive in their communities.Community living is a civil right.Read NDSC’s full statement: bit.ly/NDSC-Statement-Olmstead-Final-Order#NDSC #downsyndrome ...
